Located in Central Dalmatia, in its southern end, Tucepi are an excelent starting point for numerous excursions. |
BIOKOVO MOUNTAIN |
|
You can go part way up the mountain by minibus and then take a short hike to Sveti Jure peak or take a 5 hour hike through black pine forests and fields of chamois and sheep. Biokovo Mountain, rising behind Tucepi, offers wonderful hiking opportunities. The highest peak at 1762m (two homs). Take plenty of water. Another popular destination is the Botanical Garden by Makarska near the village of Kotišina which can be reached by a marked trail from Makar that passes under a series of towering peaks. |
SPLIT |

The biggest town in Dalmatia, second biggest after capitol Zagreb. It is famous of its Roman palace built by emperor Diocletian in the end of 3rd Century. |
TROGIR |

The small town and harbor at the end of the Kaštelanski bay, 27 kilometres from Split. It lies on the small island between the island of Čiovo and land (draw bridge). Two millennia of stormy history have been written on this small islet straddling the isthmus between the gentle hills and fertile plain on the mainland and the coast of the island Čiovo. |
ISLAND OF HVAR |

Lies 15 nautical miles from Tucepi. The town of Hvar, the biggest settlement on the island, abounds in Romanesque and Renaissance buildings, and Mediterranean atmosphere. It bears the name of Croatian Madeira. The town of Jelsa, the second biggest on the island, is famous for its vintage Dalmatian wines. |

OMIŠ |

A coastal, mediaeval town located in a picturesque canyon of the Cetina river only 35 km from Tucepi. Five kilometers up to the Cetina canyon, there is "Radmanove Mlinice", an excursion place for famous for bread baked under coals and for fresh trout.
